Ursprünglich aus der Hauptstadt Berlin stammend, entschied sich Gwen Dolyn, den Trubel der Stadt zu verlassen und ist derzeit in Chemnitz ansässig. Gwen Dolyns Musik handelt von Sehnsucht, psychischer Gesundheit, Feminismus und Beziehungen, Liebe, Verlust und Selbststärkung. Ihre Klänge huldigen dem rohen Teil der Neuen Deutschen Welle und einer Kombination aus ehrlichen Texten, Grunge, Popklängen und extravaganten Outfits. Sie ist außerdem auch bekannt als die eine Hälfte des Duos TRÄNEN zusammen mit Kraftklubs Steffen Israel.
Grandmas House
‘Screw It Up’ is the blistering new single from Bristol’s finest and loudest; Grandmas House. The four piece - previously a trio - have been busy honing their grunge and post-punk influenced sound since the release of last year’s riotous ‘Who I Am’ EP, the success of which saw the band hand picked to work with fashion house Celine, as well as Dr Martens, cult jewellery brand Tatty Devine and Fred Perry. Citing influences that range from IDLES to Alexander McQueen and Francis Bacon to Nirvana, The Breeders and Boygenius, Yasmin, Poppy, Zoe and Polly are a genuinely unique proposition. Refusing to be pigeon holed, they are here to shake up perceptions with their intelligent, stylish and raucous take on rock music. The definition of visceral, ‘Screw It Up’ arrives as the band wrap up a tour across Europe supporting ARXX and is the perfect sonic representation of “having to walk on eggshells in a relationship and feeling like you have to keep you emotions bottled up in order to be liked”. Heavy even by Grandmas House standards, it brims with the frustration and confusion caused in situations like this, whilst also delivering two minutes of thrillingly cathartic respite.With a new EP on the way and more live dates to be announced imminently, Grandmas House are preparing to take on 2025 and make it their own.

Davide & Emily are The Jackson Pollock, a Lo-Fi/Garage-Explosion Duo that sounds as six; someone would find hard to believe that a so little so sweet girl can kick like a cannon and smash a 22" so hard while cursing your mind with mermaids melodies behind a wall of sound, carpented by handmade fuzz-tones and abscure technologies from an ancient past. Don't bother with details on how they met, what they like for breakfast, what's their favourite color or what happens if you drop a mentos in a petrol tank. They are just two people that play with a carefree mind. RAW & LOUD, 'cause there is no other way!!!
The punk frenzy in the veins and the desire to play anywhere, as long as there is a corner and the possibiliity, not necessarily legal, to turn up the volume. A close-knit-duo that wants to make you sweat and fall in love.

Musikalisch hat das Siegener Duo seinen, von der unglaublichen Soundbreite einer Baritongitarre geprägten Mix aus Postrock, Noise und Punk mit Emokante bis auf's I-Tüpfelchen verfeinert. Auch von der stilistischen Bandbreite lässt sich die Band nicht einhegen und deckt das ganze Spektrum des Postpunk faktisch alleine ab, ohne jemals beliebig zu werden. Und trotzdem klingt jeder der 18 Titel genau nach KLOTZS, stets neu und überraschend. Mal wird das Soundspektrum duch Effekte erweitert, Mundharmonika wird ebenso integriert wie eine Trompete im Anspieltip „Geist“. Während sich viele Bands nach Jahrzehnten stilistisch festfahren und Innovationslosigkeit mit Beständigkeit verwechseln ist bei KLOTZS exakt das Gegenteil der Fall. Sie werden von Platte zu Platte abwechslungsreicher und besser und überraschen immer wieder mit ebenso guten Texten.
Center of the Pyre
.....Mit „Zentrum des Scheiterhaufens“ lässt sich der Bandname übersetzen, das Wort „center“ taucht nicht nur in den Namen der Akteure auf, sondern auch in jedem der acht Songtitel. So was wie die Fortführung von SERENE FALL und TROOPS OF THE SUN mit leicht verändertem Fokus, aber eben auch eindeutig in diesem dunklen, druckvollen Post-Punk-Terrain verortet. Erstaunlich der Einsatz eines Saxophons (?) bei „The center of Agadir“, einem Song von geradezu epischem Ausmaß, der geschätzt über fünf Minuten läuft und sich dramatisch aufbaut. ...Ein angenehmes, spannendes Album, weil hier mit bekannten Klangfarben in einem Genre, in dem andere leider oft nur mit Standards hantieren, wirklich Eigenes geschaffen wurde. Der Sound ist wundervoll wuchtig und samtig zugleich, siehe „Centerbond“, das eine begeisternde Spannungskurve aufweist, sich dramatisch aufbaut und mit Synthie-Streichern (?) und mehrstimmigen Vocals arbeitet. Famos: „In the center of our splinters“ mit starker JOY DIVISION-Kante. (OX Review #176)
LOBSTERBOMB
Die Berliner Band LOBSTERBOMB gründete sich 2020 und ist seitdem mit ihren rauen und energiegeladenen Auftritten in ganz Deutschland unterwegs. Mit ihrer Mischung aus selbst reflektierten Texten und extrovertierten, lauten Klängen, die von Indie-Rock bis Post-Punk reichen, sind LOBSTERBOMB immer bereit, loszulegen. Ihr Debütalbum "Look Out" wurde
im Juli 2023 über Duchess Box Records veröffentlicht.
LOBSTERBOMB sind Nico Rosch (Vocals, Gitarre, sie/ihr), Vik Chi (Schlagzeug, sie/ihr) und Crayon Jones (Gitarre, Vocals, er/sein).
Blake Harley
Blake Harleys eigenwilliger Darkwave kombiniert industrielle Klänge aus Berlin mit einer UK-Goth-Attitüde. Ihre Musik ist voller Sehnsucht und dennoch rebellisch, als ob sie weinend auf der Tanzfläche eines geheimen Bunker-Rave gesungen würde. Blake Harley entführt in eine Welt voller Nostalgie, Romantik und Horror. Seit dem Beginn des Projekts Ende 2023 hat Blake regelmäßig in London und Berlin gespielt, wo sie von Duchess Box Records entdeckt wurde. Im August 2024 veröffentlichte sie ihre Debüt-EP„happy tears“. Eine Mischung aus Synth-Pop und New-Wave-Energie, wurde Blake Harleys Debüt-EP „Happy Tears“ in den Goldsmiths Music Studios in London mit Sean Woodlock aufgenommen und von Blake Harley und ihrem Kollegen Charlie Skullface geschrieben und produziert. Zu ihren Einflüssen zählen Post-Punk- und Synthwave-Bands wie Boy Harsher, Men I Trust, Tempers, The Cure, Joy Division, X-mal Deutschland und Siouxsie and the Banshees.

TEll A ViSiON reaffirms her distinctive and pure style, characterized by a raw and twisted pop signature. Following the success of her album ADD LAND, released on Bureau B with a special art edition on Feeding Tube Records, she delivered the dynamic self-titled album TEll A ViSiON, which has garnered high praise both nationally and internationally.
Her electrifying live performances at La Casa Encendida in Madrid, MeetFactory in Prague, and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg seamlessly transport audiences to the gritty allure of an 80s punk show, skillfully reimagined through a cutting-edge fusion of future frequencies. The pulsating energy she commands on stage evokes a raw, rebellious spirit, propelling it into a contemporary sonic realm that captivates and immerses spectators in an experience that transcends time and musical boundaries.
Her songwriting, productions, and visual work feature collaborations with artists such as Derya Yıldırım, Kee Avil, Gloria de Oliveira, and UK rapper Brother May (curl).
BRATAKUS
Formed 2015 by two sisters Brèagha Cuinn (Guitar and vocals) and Onnagh Cuinn (Bass and vocals) outside a small whiskey village called Tomintoul in the Highlands. Due to their remote location, the lack of other musicians meant they were missing a drummer. To solve the issue, the band went ahead and performed live with a drum machine.
What makes this an anomaly is the duo have been completely DIY since forming but have achieved a lot on their own. Nothing on Spotify, that doesn't phase me at all but I know it can scare people off in the industry. They're super keen to tour as opposed to playing one off gigs.
With multiple releases under their belt and tours stretching from Europe to Japan (including a tour with The Hives) Bratakus quickly attracted a wider audience.
Children of the Sün
Children of the Sün sind zurück, und wie immer bringen sie die Kräfte der Natur mit, gewürzt mit einem Hauch von Rock ’n’ Roll.
Children of the Sün veröffentlichten ihr neues Album „Leaving Ground, Greet The End“ am 10. Januar 2025 über ihr eigenes Label, Lovely Eyes Records.
Eine Identitätskrise hat noch nie so selbstbewusst geklungen!‘ Trotz ihres jungen Alters hat die Band bereits zwei von der Kritik gefeierte Alben, ‚Flowers‘ und ‚Roots‘ veröffentlicht. Jetzt haben sie sich jedoch entschlossen, ihr eigenes Label zu gründen. Das Album wurde 2024 in einer kleinen Hütte in den Wäldern von Värmland aufgenommen, wo alle Lieder mit Papier und Stift von Hand geschrieben wurden, obwohl Telefone und Computer zur Verfügung standen.
Wenn Du Children of the Sün noch nicht kennst, ist es jetzt an der Zeit! Ihre Musik fängt das Gefühl von Freiheit, Liebe und einer tiefen Verbindung zur Natur ein – und natürlich mit einer kräftigen Portion Groove und packenden Riffs. Stell Dir eine Mischung aus Fleetwood Mac, Ghost und ABBA vor, bei der es der Band irgendwie gelingt, dass sich alles gleichzeitig leicht und tiefgründig anfühlt. Nach einem gefeierten Auftritt beim Sweden Rock Festival und der Veröffentlichung des Musikvideos zu ihrem Hit „Come With Us“ folgte die Single "Sugar". Nun steht Live-spielen auf dem Programm.
